It is a total nightmare trying to find a hotel in the Alps for next weekend. First of all, the Europeans act like they have never heard of "a weekend trip". Most of the places want you to book for a week or more...or not at all. To make it worse there are close to 10 million ski resorts in the Austria, Switzerland, France, and Italy area making it less easy to just narrow it down to a place to ski. My favorite is once I have found a decent place for what we want, then the best part is not being able to find a place to stay! Can you say...super frustrating? Then I also love that you can't just book a place once you have found one...you know, like online booking. Nope, you have to send an inquiry of what you want and then you have to wait until they get back to you before you can proceed with anything else! Its seems as though some Europeans have all the time in the world!
