Navigator of the Seas

This would be our gigantic Royal Caribbean cruise ship that we spent five nights on last week. FYI...it is even bigger than it looks as it should have its own zip code and is larger than many of the small towns in Iowa! All kidding aside it was really great and now I understand why people are crazy for cruise vacations...it is so much value for the money!
Last Saturday afternoon we went to the Barcelona port and made our way around the boat, checked into the room and figured out our seating time for dinner...blah, blah...and it took all day just getting acquainted. And I LOVED that they did the mandatory safety and evac stuff before we left port! I can't say enough about how great the staff and the whole experience was (with a special emphasis on the food and strong drinks)! Here are a few photos of the many places on the ship that we spent some time during the trip...
Here is a view from one of the lounge/bars looking down at the pool area.

And another of the sculture that started on deck three and went to deck eleven showing some of the decks in between.

The Schooner Bar was my favorite because each night they had a piano player that was fun and loved that I knew the entire third verse of Piano Man.
And the Metropolis Theatre that housed nightly shows...game shows, dance shows, and many others.

And the ice arena...they had a show but it was not amazing. The surface was so small that only double jumps were performed...but the pair skaters were really good!

And of course it had a really nice casino, however, I don't so much as play the lottery so I just used it as a hallway to get to the piano bar and to the dance club...but here it is!

There were at least 25 other communal places for rec activities like a sporting area, spa, fitness center, shopping promenade, and a bunch of bars and restaurants.
The ship was cool, and we were never bored! We have already decided to do another next year at this time...we are thinking the Eastern Mediterranean although we will see!
Stay tuned for tomorrow's blog on Cannes, France!
Auf Wiedersehen!
